About Pete
Pete Klimek was labeled ‘refugee’ in Vienna as he was dragged away by the apron strings of his parents from the bullet-riddled streets of Kafka’s Prague to settle like dust in South Africa… a far cry indeed from the Bohemian cafes where poetry readings and street symphonies were as common as daily bread.
Pete picked up his first guitar at the age of 7 and has not put it down since. His life became that of an endless series of audience auditions as he commuted between the stage and the page of a new song, between his home in Cape Town and where his heart lives in Singapore.
“We’ll see the purpose in everything – only when we accept and respect each living thing.” (© Pete Klimek)
